Qingdao Hexin Machinery Co., Ltd. will introduce to you the method of determining the casting position. The so-called pouring position refers to the position of the precision casting tray in the mold during casting.

 Proper pour location should ensure a complete casting and facilitate styling, core making and cleaning. The general principles for determining the pouring position of precision castings are:

1. The important processing surface, main working surface and stress surface of the casting should be located at the bottom or side as far as possible to prevent casting defects such as blisters, pores and slag inclusions on these surfaces.

2. The pouring position should ensure that the molten metal solidifies according to the determined solidification sequence. For alloys with large shrinkage,

 the pour location should favor sequential solidification, and the majority of the thickness of the casting should generally be placed above the pour location to promote solidification at the feed port.

3. The pouring position of precision casting should be conducive to the positioning, support and exhaust of the core, and try to avoid the suspension of the core and the cantilever core. (Investment cast trays and grids,  nickel alloy heat resistant investment cast trays and grids )
